Gameplay guide
Layla is a gold-lane marksman whose basic attacks deal more damage at long distance. Malefic Bomb temporarily extends her attack and Void Projectile range while granting movement speed, Void Projectile places a mark that her next hit detonates for area damage and a brief stun, and upgrading Destruction Rush permanently expands her range.
Stay in gold lane, last-hit, and make farming without dying the main goal. Use Malefic Bomb's longer skill range to hit the opponent or a safe front target, then use the three-second extended range for Void Projectile and basic attacks. If the enemy assassin is missing, farm near the turret and keep Flicker available.
After core items, join nearby fights from behind allies while continuing to collect waves. Hit Malefic Bomb before stepping into ordinary attack range, mark grouped enemies with Void Projectile, and detonate the mark with an attack for area damage and a brief stun. Destruction Rush can soften a lined-up team or clear a dangerous wave from safety.
Treat survival as the highest priority because Layla's range and sustained damage can decide the game only while she is alive. Attack the nearest safe target at maximum distance, never chase beyond team protection, and retain Flicker and Malefic Bomb movement for a dive. Aim the ultimate through several enemies rather than saving it only for the last hit.
Attack the nearest safe target and let range grow naturally; walking forward for a low enemy gives up Layla's main defense.
Hit the enemy carrying Void Projectile's Magic Mark again to trigger its nearby damage and brief stun, especially when a diver reaches Layla.
Enable advanced targeting so Layla can choose heroes, minions, or turrets separately without walking forward and giving up her range advantage.
Land the first skill before moving forward. Its temporary range lets Void Projectile and attacks connect from farther away; the attack on the marked target adds area damage and a brief stun that helps Layla kite.
