Every time Zhuxin channels Lantern Flare , she converts the Mana spent into up to 15 Crimson Butterflies to follow her Spirit Lantern . After Zhuxin stops channeling Lantern Flare , the Crimson Butterflies will gradually disappear, each restoring 5% of her Max Mana.
Zhuxin has a naturally high base Max Mana, but it doesn't scale with her level.
Gameplay guide
Zhuxin is a control mage who channels Lantern Flare to stack Soul Snare. At ten stacks, Crimson Butterflies pull a hero airborne for one second, after which Zhuxin throws all captured enemies to a chosen location for Max-HP magic damage.
Clear with Lantern Flare's increased minion scaling, then rotate instead of remaining visible in lane. Use Fluttering Grace first for its slow and self-speed before channeling, and release when continued pursuit would put Zhuxin in danger.
Fight from behind allies at Turtle and choke points. Move the lantern over priority heroes, throw a captured target toward allied control or away from its team, and reserve Crimson Beacon when enemy engage tools are still available.
Maintain safe spacing and mana for a full capture cycle. Use Beacon proactively only when its shield and persistent field will survive the counterattack; otherwise blink defensively and continue stacking from its edge.
Throw a captured enemy sideways across allied damage rather than straight backward where teammates must leave position to follow.
Release Lantern Flare between captures so Zhuxin's Mana can recover; holding continuously without a realistic throw drains the next control window.
Blink across terrain with Crimson Beacon when enemies collapse, using its shield and persistent field to cover the new position.
Reach ten Soul Snare stacksRelease toward alliesThe initial slow and Zhuxin's Movement Speed make the channel easier to maintain, then the throw converts the capture into team positioning.
Throw captured enemies away from safetyThe field adds stacks every half second while the lantern channels, but the blink should not be used into unsupported burst.
