Esmeralda manipulates Stardust and Frostmoon: Stardust deals Physical Damage while Frostmoon deals Magic Damage and gives the target a shield equal to 135% of Frostmoon's damage dealt. Each Basic Attack deals (+100% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage and 100 (+75% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage .
The damage dealt by Esmeralda ignores all shield effects and gradually converts her shield into HP.
Gameplay guide
Esmeralda is an EXP-lane or jungle magic fighter who deals separate physical and magic hits, ignores every enemy shield, and converts her own shield into HP. Frostmoon damage grants opponents shields that she can steal with Frostmoon Shield, turning repeated Stardust Dance hits into a sustained shield-and-damage cycle.
Activate Frostmoon Shield before Stardust Dance so movement closes the gap and hero hits accelerate the next shield. Use the dual-damage cycle to pressure EXP while respecting enemy control and jungle timing.
Enter objective fights as a secondary front liner, absorb nearby shields, and hit multiple heroes with each Dance for the strongest cooldown refund. Charge Falling Starmoon from cover for range, or tap it quickly when distance is already sufficient.
Wait for key control before diving and build enough defense to survive between shield casts. Aim Falling Starmoon at carries or a cluster, then repeat Shield, Dance, and basic attacks while moving with the target rather than standing in the center of all damage.
Leave before hard control arrives, then re-enter after shields rebuild; standing still removes the advantage of her constant movement.
Use Frostmoon Shield near several enemies before Stardust Dance so Esmeralda has both movement and stolen shields for the extended trade.
Circle around the formation while cycling skills instead of standing between enemies; sustained shielding works only while avoiding concentrated control.

Repeat while safeShield first for movement and protection; every hero struck by Dance removes 1.5 seconds from the next shield, sustaining the loop.

Release onto target
Movement and shielding prepare the entry, the ultimate immobilizes for one second, and Dance immediately begins refunding Frostmoon Shield.
