After every 2 Basic Attacks, Aldous gains a 500 (+3 times the number of Soul Steal stacks) shield for 3s on his next Basic Attack.
This effect can only be triggered once every 5s.
Gameplay guide
Aldous is an EXP-lane scaling fighter whose empowered last hits permanently add damage to Contract: Soul Steal, up to 650 stacks. He gains periodic shields through basic attacks, reduces incoming damage while preparing an area stun, and can reveal every enemy before flying to one selected target.
Avoid unnecessary fights and use Soul Steal to last-hit the highest-value units, especially siege minions. When a last hit is unsafe, stay close enough to receive the smaller nearby-death stacks instead of losing HP and the entire wave.
Push a side lane while watching fights elsewhere. Use Chase Fate first for information, then commit only if the target is isolated or allies can capitalize. Activate Explosion during approach or retaliation to reduce damage and prepare the stun.
Keep side-wave pressure without arriving late to Lord. Target a carry whose defensive tools and nearby allies are known, land with a prepared Soul Steal attack, and use the shield from the basic-attack cycle plus Explosion to survive focus.
Use the ultimate's vision before selecting a landing target; cancel when the revealed formation makes the dive unwinnable.
Last-hit minions with the charged punch instead of using it early on the wave, prioritizing permanent stacks over faster but wasteful clearing.
Activate Contract: Explosion before entering clustered enemies so its damage reduction covers the approach and the delayed stun interrupts retaliation.
Select isolated carry
Preparing the empowered hit before flight prevents delay on arrival. Damage reduction covers retaliation and the stun holds the target for a second attack or allied follow-up.
