Damage dealt by Hanzo's Basic Attacks and skills inflicts a stack of Dark Ninjutsu on the target, up to 5 stacks. Ninjutsu: Demon Feast can only be cast on targets with full stacks of Dark Ninjutsu .
Gameplay guide
Hanzo is a jungle assassin who applies Dark Ninjutsu stacks with attacks and skills, then consumes full stacks with Demon Feast or Soul Snatch. Pinnacle Ninja sends Hanekage through terrain while Hanzo's body is invincible, but the form continually spends energy and Hanzo returns with the health remaining on Hanekage plus the skill's recovery.
Build five Dark Ninjutsu stacks on a creep, use Demon Feast to accelerate the clear, and protect access to the purple buff because energy controls projection time. Farm toward level four before forcing a low-information fight. Dark Mist can stack and slow, but save its dash when crossing into contested jungle would expose the real body before the ultimate is ready.
Project through terrain from a safe location, open with Black Mist to knock up and apply repeated marks, add basic attacks, then use Soul Snatch at full stacks for the strongest hit and healing. Watch both the energy bar and Hanekage's health; return manually when the kill is no longer safe rather than waiting for either resource to fail.
Use terrain and fog to threaten the back line without placing the body beside the fight. Coordinate around Lord so attacks on heroes and the objective help sustain energy, but do not remain projected into heavy control after the target escapes. A safe return preserves both your life and the short ultimate cycle.
Return manually before Energy empties; otherwise Hanzo's invincible body is drawn toward Hanekage and may end the form in an exposed position.
Dash through the target with Dark Mist and continue fighting inside its slowing area, where Hanzo also gains Movement Speed.
Reach five Dark Ninjutsu stacks before Soul Snatch when possible, unlocking its Max-HP damage and healing instead of spending it early.
Use the normal mist to begin applying marks when the approach is safe, project, then knock up and stack with Black Mist and basic attacks. Cast Soul Snatch only at full marks, and return before Hanekage is killed or energy expires.
