Ling's superb Lightness Skill allows him to leap among walls. He gains 4 extra Lightness Points per second when he's on a wall and 5 extra Lightness Points each time he deals damage.
Ling gains 1.6 times Crit Chance from all sources but only has 140% Crit Damage.
Gameplay guide
Ling is a resource-dependent jungle assassin who moves between walls, regenerates Lightness there, and gains 1.6 times normal Crit Chance but only 140% Crit Damage. Tempest of Blades grants invincibility, knocks up its center, and creates four swords that reset Defiant Sword and restore resources when collected.
Prioritize level four and blue-buff control, use basic attacks between skills to avoid wasting Lightness, and learn short wall routes rather than jumping randomly. Gank only when the lane offers a reliable target, then return to farm.
Perch in Half-Stealth near a side angle, descend with the free wall version of Defiant Sword, and use Tempest of Blades to avoid retaliation or control the target. Pre-aim the first sword and collect around the field with measured dash timing.
Wait for hard control and defensive items before diving the carry. Use the ultimate's invincibility reactively when needed, collect swords in an order that preserves an exit route, and avoid trading the Retribution holder before Lord.
Count the swords and Finch Poise energy before dropping from a wall; entering without a route to the first sword removes the reset path.
Secure the purple buff and avoid unnecessary wall hops before a fight, preserving enough Lightness for Defiant Sword and the escape wall.
Use Finch Poise to observe jungle movement from walls, but leave when enemies with wall knockdown or reliable ranged control disappear.
Exit to wallThe wall descent costs no Lightness, the ultimate supplies invincibility and control, and each sword resets the dash and returns 25 points for the chain.
Collect nearest swordUse invincibility to survive rather than greed for damage, then convert one sword reset into immediate separation and wall safety.
