Gameplay guide
Zhask is a mid-lane control mage who fights through a Nightmaric Spawn that inherits part of his attributes. The spawn provides sustained area pressure, duplicates Mind Eater for a stun when both beams connect, and becomes an enhanced body with empowered skills when Zhask fuses through Dominator's Descent.
Place Nightmaric Spawn behind the wave or in a protected angle so it can clear without being immediately removed. Use it to check nearby bushes, align Mind Eater through both Zhask and the spawn, and rotate only after controlling the wave.
Set the spawn near Turtle chokes before the fight begins and leave Hive Clones in routes enemies may cross. Use the clones' 80% slow to make the double Mind Eater easier, then fuse only after enemies commit or when the enhanced body is needed to survive pressure.
Remain behind allied initiation and make the opponent enter the spawn's zone. During Dominator's Descent, use enhanced Hive Clones for area control, enhanced Mind Eater for burst and stun, and reposition the fused spawn toward carries only when enemy control cannot immediately punish it.
Place the spawn where it covers the enemy's next position, since moving it after opponents leave costs the pressure window.
Place Nightmaric Spawn beside terrain or an objective entrance where enemies cannot safely walk around its attack range.
Use the enhanced spawn's relocation before enemies surround it, preserving the ultimate form instead of waiting until its position is already lost.
Hive Clones provide the slow; then align the beam so both Zhask and his spawn hit the same target, triggering the spawn's extra damage and 0.5-second stun.
Reposition fused spawn if neededUse normal skills to slow and control before fusing. Once committed, exploit the enhanced versions and reposition rather than activating the ultimate while enemies are still free to walk away.
