Grock gains a Shield equal to 14% of his Max HP and empowers the next Basic Attack to deal Physical Damage equal to 4 (+2% Total Physical Defense) % of the target's Max HP (capped at 300 (+20*Hero Level) against non-hero units). This effect has a 18-12s cooldown (decreases with level), which reduces by 200% when near terrain.
Grock's skills cannot be interrupted, and he gains 30 (+6*Hero Level) % extra Physical Defense while the Shield is active.
Gameplay guide
Grock is a terrain-dependent tank who creates his own wall, slams enemies into obstacles, and becomes difficult to interrupt while his passive shield is ready. Bastion of Stone adds a maximum-HP shield and empowered basic attack, while the current Mighty Swing and Tectonic Charge reward precise wall placement.
Unlock Earthen Rampart for planned wave manipulation or jungle obstruction only when teammates understand the play. Otherwise use bushes and walls to refresh Bastion of Stone, poke with the empowered basic attack, and contest space without donating unnecessary deaths.
Arrive first to Turtle approaches and force opponents through narrow terrain. Use Earthen Rampart to trap or displace, then crash Tectonic Charge into that wall; follow with Mighty Swing to extend the control when the passive shield is active.
Protect access to Lord and wait in terrain-rich areas where every part of the kit is reliable. Track where the created wall will send each enemy and leave a route for allies. If the carry is threatened, use the wall and swing defensively instead of charging away.
Before placing Guardian's Barrier, check the allied route so the wall cuts off enemies without blocking your own follow-up.
Charge Power of Nature while touching a wall to gain the passive defenses and avoid control during the approach.
Recast Guardian's Barrier early when the wall starts trapping allies or blocking their damage; keeping it for the full duration is not always helpful.
The created wall supplies terrain for the ultimate explosion and the swing's extra knock-up. Confirm the wall angle before charging so it traps the opponent without blocking allied follow-up.
