Gameplay guide
Melissa is a Gold Lane marksman who links enemies to Muddles and attacks them from unusual range while a four-second field denies melee entry. Her 125% damage to minions, creeps, and summoned units gives her reliable wave and objective tempo.
Exploit Doll Buster to control the wave, then place Muddles so attacks on a minion, turret shield, or Muddles itself pressure a linked opponent. Use Muddles to check suspicious bushes, and keep Falling! available when the enemy still has hard control or a gap closer.
Fight around Gold and Turtle approaches where Muddles can link more than one target. Dash laterally rather than blindly forward, then use the Attack Minion button on Muddles when that is the safest way to reach a linked hero; remember this direct attack does not trigger multi-hit damage.
Stand behind protection, establish the Muddles zone before committing Attack Speed, and activate Go Away! before melee divers overlap Melissa. Let the field and its shield buy uninterrupted firing time instead of chasing beyond its boundary.
Place Muddles before Attack Speed commitment so linked targets cannot simply leave while Melissa's damage window is already running.
Place Muddles where the target must remain or retreat, then attack the doll from a safe line instead of walking into direct range.
Wait until melee divers spend their entry before activating Go Away, preventing them from simply waiting outside the field.
Step with the link as the target retreatsMuddles establishes the slow and link first; the dash then supplies Attack Speed and positioning without committing before the target is constrained.
The field's activation shield and knockback create firing space, while linked attacks punish the diver from inside the boundary; Control-Immune enemies still require an escape route.
