After each skill cast, Edith and Phylax become Overloaded for 3s, during which all Basic Attacks will trigger chain lightning, dealing extra Magic Damage equal to (+20% Total Magic Power) plus 3(+0.2*Hero Level)% of the target's Max HP to up to 4 enemies.
Chain lightning damage against Minions is increased to 150%.
Gameplay guide
Edith is an EXP-lane or roam tank-marksman. In Phylax she initiates, absorbs damage, and builds Wrath; Primal Wrath ejects Edith into a ranged form whose shield, attack speed, and Hybrid Lifesteal scale with stored Wrath. Extra Physical and Magic Defense also convert into Magic Power during the transformation.
Play cautiously before Primal Wrath, use Earth Shatter and Overload attacks to clear, and keep Onward available unless a throw is likely to connect. If Onward catches the opponent, throw them away from their turret or team, then knock them up with Earth Shatter and use basic attacks while Overload is active.
Front-line around Turtle and accumulate Wrath from damage taken before transforming. Catch an exposed jungler or marksman with Onward into Earth Shatter, or start with Earth Shatter when several enemies are grouped. Transform only after enough Wrath has been stored and the ranged position will not abandon allies to a dive.
Protect the main damage dealer and use Phylax control patiently. In a committed fight, build Wrath, knock enemies away as Primal Wrath activates, then use ranged control and Overload attacks from a safe line. Ranged damage also helps secure Lord and turrets after the enemy engage has been handled.
Before transforming, check that another ally can protect your back line; otherwise remain in Phylax and keep controlling enemies.
Absorb pressure in Phylax until Wrath is meaningful, but transform before control or burst removes the chance to use the ranged form.
Follow every skill in either form with Basic Attacks while Overload is active so the chain lightning contributes before the short window ends.
Throw target toward allies
Throw the caught hero behind Phylax, place Earth Shatter where they land, and attack while Overload is active. Transform only when enough Wrath has been built and the ranged position is safe; otherwise remain in Phylax to keep front-lining.
Absorb damage to build Wrath
Control and front-line first, then transform with meaningful Wrath. In ranged form, immobilize the hero with Lightning Bolt before placing Divine Retribution so more ticks connect, and continue Overload attacks.
