After Gord hits an enemy 4 times with skills within a short period of time, the next skill damage will deal an additional 140 (+8*Hero Level) (+40% Total Magic Power) True Damage and slow them by 20% for 1s (the slow effect stacks up to 2 times).
Gameplay guide
Gord is a stationary mid-lane poke-burst mage who triggers true damage after four rapid skill hits. Mystic Injunction and Mystic Gush each strike up to sixteen times, making Mystic Favor activate repeatedly when enemies remain in both zones. Mystic Projectile is his only hard control and the usual setup for the field and beam.
Use Mystic Injunction on a grouped wave for safe fast clear, then add Mystic Projectile and rotate. Manually aim the bouncing orb for lane poke or throw it near Gord's feet against a diver. Check suspicious bushes with ranged skills instead of walking in, and conserve Flicker as the main escape.
At Turtle, stun a priority target with Mystic Projectile, place Mystic Injunction under them, and immediately channel Mystic Gush so both multi-hit skills trigger Mystic Favor. Stand behind terrain or the front line and sweep the joystick only enough to track movement rather than overcorrecting the beam.
Set up before Lord and never begin the beam where a flank can reach without crossing allies. Persistent damage can melt durable heroes as well as carries, so hit the safest controlled line. Use Flicker during the channel only to preserve the beam or correct position when the new location is clearly safe.
Do not channel Mystic Gush until the enemy skill that can immediately interrupt or reach Gord has been accounted for.
Bounce Mystic Projectile off terrain or the edge of its range to reach enemies who believe the direct line is safe.
Position near cover before Mystic Gush and cancel the channel when a flanker reaches Gord; preserving position is better than forcing the final ticks.
Track with the beamFlicker during the channel only to stay safeThe stun holds the target in the energy field while the beam starts. Track the target carefully, and use Flicker during the channel only when it preserves the beam from an incoming dive or moves Gord to a clearly safe position.
Aim the short bounce where the diver lands so the stun occurs quickly, place the field under them, and prioritize creating distance. Channel the ultimate only when allied peel or the stun duration makes standing still safe.
