Sora can ascend to Thunder or Torrent by using his Ultimate. After ascending, dealing damage to heroes or summoned units grants 1 stack of Cloudstep . Upon reaching 5 stacks, he unlocks his True Art.
Thunder: Adopts an assassin style, converting 30% Max HP into Physical Attack (Equal to 10% of Max HP).
Torrent: Adopts a tank style, converting 30% Physical Attack into Max HP (Gains 10 HP for every 1 Attack).

Sora is an EXP-lane fighter-assassin with a normal form and two ten-second ascensions. Thunder converts part of his maximum HP into Physical Attack for a damage-focused assassin style; Torrent converts part of his Physical Attack into maximum HP for a control-focused tank style. Damaging heroes or summons while ascended builds five Cloudstep stacks to unlock the form's True Art.
Trade with Windstride into Sundering Strike, using the final movement of the first skill and the leap's cooldown refund to avoid a static exchange. Preserve Shifting Skies for a meaningful fight. Thunder is better for punishing an exposed low-mobility opponent; Torrent is safer when the team needs control or the enemy can burst the damage form.
Enter an objective fight with Windstride and Sundering Strike, then ascend to reset access to the form skills. In Thunder, hit heroes repeatedly with the mobile first skill and recastable second skill to unlock Heaven's Wrath. In Torrent, group enemies during transformation and chain its stun and knock-ups so allies can follow.
Choose the form based on the actual fight, not a fixed preference. Thunder should threaten a back-line carry after control has been used; Torrent should stand with the team, pull enemies together, and deny movement. Remember that both True Arts ignore terrain and grant control immunity, but Sora can still take damage during them.
Choose the form from both team compositions before engaging; changing your goal after Ascension starts wastes its short stacking window.
Use the movement after Sundering Strike to step around aimed retaliation or correct the angle before its final lunge.
Make Windstride hit a hero or reach maximum range so its landing effect activates and the cooldown is reduced.
Form skills to 5 CloudstepTrue ArtUse both normal skills before ascending, then choose the form the situation needs. The form's first and second skills provide the hero hits needed to unlock its True Art.
Use Thunder's untargetable transformation to enter, land the second skill so it can be cast again, and keep moving through Thunderflash. Cast Heaven's Wrath only after Cloudstep reaches five.
The Torrent transformation pulls enemies in, Skyfall knocks them up and holds their position, and Overwhelm adds a stun. At five stacks, Stormbind continues the area control for teammates.
